This Monument is Erected
Sacred to the Memory of
Sir William Strickland, Baronet
Who departed this life on the 8th day of January 1834.
Also in Memory of
Arthur Strickland,
Third son of the above named
Sir William Strickland.
He died November 27th 1863.
Aged 79.
His life was spent in the active study of the
Wonderful works of God,
And of Caroline,
Wife of William Lowndes Stone,
Who died April 11th 1867.
In remembrance of her many virtues
And kind and affectionate disposition
By her brother Sir George Chomley.
