LEGACIES
left to the POOR of the TOWNSHIP
of HOVINGHAM ???????????????
Robert Consit Senior, late of this Place, who died in the Year 1680, left to the Poor thereof Two Pounds.

Mr. Richard Prowde, late of this Place, who died in the year 1680, left to the Poor Ten Pounds.

Robert Walker, of this Place, who died in the Year 1684, bequeathed to the Poor One Pound.

Thomas Slater, of this Place, who died in the Year 1703, bequeathed to the Poor thereof One Pound.

George Hardwick and George Richardson, Overseers in the Year 1705 made up the Sum of Five Pounds for the Use of the said Poor, it being the overplus Money which they had in their Hands.

Andrew Brasit and William Rennifon, Overseers in the Year 1706, made up also the Sum of Seven Pounds for the Use of the Poor, it being the overplus Money which they had in their Hands.

George Marsterman, of this Place, who died in the Year 1711, bequeathed to the Poor Fifteen Pounds.

Thomas Worsley Esq': of this Place, who died in the Year 1715, bequeathed to the Poor Twenty Pounds.

Mrs. Frances Arthington, of Arthington, who died in the Year 1716, left to the Poor of this Township Twenty Pounds, the Interest whereof to be distributed Yearly towards putting six Poor Children to School. Ann Ableson, of Fryton, who died in the Year 1720, left to the Poor of this Township Five Pounds.
