The great Lord Strafford and Lady Margaret Clifford, daughter of Francis, 4th Earl of Cumberland. Mr. Hunter tells us (South Yorkshire, 11. p. 84), that the marriage took place at Londesborough, 22 October, 1811, and the Register was then perfect. Thirty years ago the present Register began with the year 1653. So that the earlier volume must have been lost between 1831 and 1862.
