  • Post Office, Barningham, H. Birtwhistle, postmaster. Letters arrive via Barnard Castle, by mail cart, week-days at 9-15 am., and Sundays at 12 noon; and are despatched, week-days, 3-15 p.m., Sundays, 1 p.m. Barnard Castle (about 5 miles distant) is the nearest Money Order and Telegraph Office.
