The Register Books commence in 1638. Parts illegible.

Charities:
Free School, founded by Anthony Metcalfe, by will, 11th July 1678 ; eight free scholars, in reading, writing, accounts, and the Church-catechism. Endowment; fourteen acres of land, and a school-house. -Vide 7th Report, page 651.
