We announce the decease of the eminent Eastern geographer, Colonel William Martin LEAKE, F.R.S., &c., which happened at Brighton a few days ago, on the eve of the completion of his 83rd year of his age.
Mr James MURPHY, of Mount Mrrion, near Dublin, was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning. He was the last surviving son of the late Mr W. MURPHY, a celebrated cattle salesmaster. He has left upwards of £300,000.

Same day, at High Skullgate, Ripon, Mr John HARKER, aged 65. Deceased was a highly respected inhabitant of Ripon. For many years he was a member of the Yeomanry Corps; an ardent and enthusiastic admirer of music, and an excellent performer on several instruments. As an Odd Fellow, too, he met with the good will of all.

Three days after the battle Nelly gave birth to a son.

An aged nautical veteran, named COLLIS, died at the beginning of the week, near Hythe in Kent, who actually served under Cornwallis, where he succeeded to the command of the Canada, on the resignation of Sir George COLLIER.
We have to record the death of General Berkley DRUMOND, at his seat in Hampshire. The deceased had served for nearly 50 years in the Scots Fusilier Guards. He served, in that regiment, then called the 3rd Guards. He served in that regiment, then called the 3rd Guards, in the campaign of 1814 in Holland, including the storming of Hergen-op-Zoom; also the campain of 1815, and was present at Quatro Bras and at Waterloo.

The deceased was a boatswain in the fleet commanded by Admiral Nelson at the battle of Trafalgar; also, was at the landing of the troops in Egypt, under Sir Ralph Abercromby, and other naval engagements, but never received a wound. He was highly respected by all who knew him, and during the last 10 or 12 years had lost the use of his sight.

On the 30th ult., at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Councillor SMITH, North Terrace, Ann FOTHERGILL (a centenarian), aged 102 years. Deceased was very infirm previous to her demise, and her eyesight was almost gone. Longevity is no uncommon thing in deceased's family, one of her relations having died at a very advanced age. Deceased was formerly of the Hambletonian Inn, her husband having the honour of giving the title to that well known house of entertainment.
