"SINNINGTON, is a small township, in the parish of its name, in the same
wapentake of Ryedale, about 3 miles east from Kirkby Moorside, and not quite 5
miles from Pickering. The parish contained, at the last census, 584 inhabitants,
and the township 340 of that number.
