The place: STARTFORTH.     Church dedication: ALIAS STRATFORD. -HOLY TRINITY.     Church type: Augmented discharged Vicarage.

Area, 1,070 acres. Gilling West wapentake. -Population, 632 ; Church-room, 120; Net value, £150. -The Church was appropriated to Eggleston Abbey, 8th March 1729, and a Vicarage ordained therein.

Patron, the Earl of Lonsdale.

Valued in the King's Books, at £4. 0s. 10d.

The glebe house is fit for residence.

The Register Books commence in 1668.
