The list of benefactions in St. Andrew's Church, Aldborough.


1. GEORGE SMITHSON, of Boroughbridge, gave the Rents of certain Lands to the Value of two Pounds Per Annum- for ever to be distributed on Good Friday in ye manner following; Viz. 1£, 5s, 0d to ye Poor of Boroughbridge, 5s to ye Poor of Aldborough, 5s to ye Poor of Rockcliff & 5s to ye Poor of Minskip:

2. EDWARD MARKS, of Minskip gave ye Sum of one Pound Per Annum ~ for Ever, to be distributed on St. Luke's Day, viz., 5s to ye Poor of Aldborough, 5s to ye Poor of Boroughbridge, 5s to the Poor of Rockcliff, & 5s to ye Poor of Minskip ~

3. JOHN THOMPSON, of Aldborough gave ye Sum of ten Shillings Per Annum, for Ever, to be distributed on Good Friday, viz., 5s to ye Poor of Aldborough, 1s & 8d to ye Poor of Boroughbridge; 1s & 8d to ye Poor of Rockcliff, & 1s & 8d to ye Poor of Minskip.

4. WILLIAM EARL, of Minskip gave ye sum of four Pounds; ye Interest to be distributed Yearly on the 1st Day of May in equal Portions, to ye Poor of Aldborough, Boroughbridge, Rockcliff and Minskip.

5. RICHARD SUTTON, of Aldborough gave ye sum of Six Shillings, Per Annum for Ever to be distributed on Good Friday to the Poor of Aldborough only.

6. WILLIAM THOMPSON, of the Parish of St.Margaret's Westminster gave for ever the sum, of one Pound Per Annum to the Minister &, two Pound's Per Annum to be distributed on St. Thomas Day to the Poor of Aldborough only.
