Post Office,
  • Bridge-street, near lye bridge, Thomas Trout, Post Master.
  • Letters to York are despatched every morning at half-past three and at ten minutes before two in the afternoon, and arrive at half-past one in the morning and ten minutes past eleven in the forenoon.
  • Letters for London, Manchester, and Liverpool are despatched at ten minutes past eleven in the forenoon, and arrive at ten minutes before two in the afternoon.
  • Letters to Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, &c. are despatched by a horse post every morning at six, and arrive at half past one in the afternoon.
  • Open hours-The office opens at seven in the morning, during the summer months, and at eight in the winter, and finally closes at ten at night. There are two deliveries in the day, viz. at eight in the morning, and three in the afternoon.
