CASTLEFORD:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1834.

"CASTLEFORD, is a village and township, in the parish of its name, in the same wapentake as Pontefract, and three miles from that town. Here are some considerable potteries, and two corn mills. The parish contained, at the last census, 1,587 inhabitants, and the township 1,141 of that number.
