KETTLEWELL:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1750.

"KETTLEWELL, a parish in the West Riding of Yorkshire, lies under a hill bet. Langshethdale chace and Netherdale, and was the Lp. of the family of the Greys of Rotherfield. In 1686, its inh. were almost all drowned, by a violent flood in a thunder-storm, as were those also of Starbotton the next village."
