CHARITY OF

CHRISTOPHER BROWN

OF SKELLGILL;

Who BY his last Will bearing
Date Ye. 14th. of March 1653. gave to Christr.
Lumley, Son of Christr. Lumley, one Close
called ye. new Close lying in Grantley, upon Con-
-dition: that he & his Heirs for Ever, pay unto the
Churchwardens of Kirbymalzeard for ye Time
being, twenty Shillings Yearly on Michaelmas
day, to be by them distributed to six or eight of ye.
poorest People in that Parish:

And for want of due Performance
herein, I give the said Close unto
the Church Wardens of Kirby-
-malzeard Respectively for the
Time being, and for ever to
receive the Yearly Profits thereof;
and to destribute the same for the
Use of the Poor as Aforesaid;
This Will proved at High Burton
the 7th. of May 1656;
