Hackney Coaches &c,
are stationed for the use of the public in Briggate, and at the top of Albion street. The Rates for coaches, are at the rate of 1s. 6d.; and for Cars and Gigs, 1s. per mile, but extra charges are made for waiting after being called, viz. 6d. for coaches, and 4d. for Gigs and Cars, per quarter of an hour. When engaged by time, the charge for a coach is 2s. 6d.; and for a Gig or car, 2s. 8d per hour.
The Trains of coaches and carriages with passengers and goods from Leeds to Selby, depart from the Depot, in Marsh lane every day, except Sunday, at 7 morning, ½ past 2 afternoon, and 5 evening; except from Nov 1st to March 1st, when the morning train leaves at 8. On Sunday, a train leaves at 9 morning. The Fares are 4s. by the first class, and 3s. by the second class. For children under six years of age, only half fare is charged. The weight of luggage allowed for each passenger, is four stones. Passengers and parcels are booked at the Railway Office, 147 Briggate, and at the Station, in Marsh lane; and Omnibuses ply between the two places before the departure, and after the arrival of the trains; - W, Simpson, general superintendent.
