Body to be buried in parish church of St. Peter, in Leeds [see burials, 11 March 1572-3] as neare my
father as conveniently may be.
Goods, after debts, &c., to be divided into three parts -
one for myself,
another for my wife,
and the third to my children.
Sibbell, my wife, to have and enjoy my fermhold for life; after her decease to my son William Gaile.
To my daus., Marie G. and Annie G., 40l. a pece.
The rest of my part to be equally divided betw. my sones William, Robert, Thomas, John and Richard Gayle.
My brother, William Gaile; my brother-in-law Richard Scholes; my brother-in-law Richard Casson, each 6s. 8d.
To every of my servants, a sheppe hogg, ie,, John Pykard, Thomas Nutter, William Barkar, Elisabeth Walker,
Anne Leaffe, and Elizabeth Glover.
Sibbell, my wife, and my sons, William, Robert, Thomas, John, and Richard G. executors. William Gaile
and Rauffe Gaile, supervisors.
Witnesses - Thomas Birtwesell, Richard Sharphouse, John Broke, and Roger Lee.
