December 1571. To be buried in the parish church of Leedes, near the gate into one queer there, sometime
called Sir Thomas Jefferason queer. Debts, &c. To Margaret Stamp, my sister-in-law, 6l. 6s. 8d. To
Margaret Stamp, her base-begotten daughter, 6l. 6s. 8d. To Agnes (sic) Jaykes, my wife, 6l. 6s. 8d.
[See below, "Magdalene J., my wife." "Agnes" or "wife" is evidently an error, because probate was made
by Magdalene, testator's relict..] [REFERENCE WILL#7] To every of my godchildren, whome I helped to
geve Christedome unto 12d. To Cecelie Dawson, wife of John D., 20s. To Mawdelynge Jaykes, my wife,
all my landes for life; remainder to Robert J., my nephie. To said M., my wife, all my tacks and leses,
in Leeds and Leeds Manridinge, or elsewhear, for the years to come. To Anne Marshall, servant to Jane
Atkinson, wedow, 10s. To the poor, 20s., at the discretion of Richard Simpson, elder, Rauffe Foster,
and William Waide. To Jenete Banes, my servant, 2s. Residue to my wife, who is made sole executrix.
