January 1576-77, and proved 24th April 1577. Body to buried in the parish church church of Leeds, nye
unto my father. Debts &c. to be paid. Rest to be divided into two parts - one to myself, and the other
equally divided between my two children, Alex. Reame and Alice Reame.
Poor of Leeds, 20s. Twenty shillings to be divided among my spynners at Leathley. To Percival Brereclif
my best sheipe coller jacket. To George Clarvis, my prentice, my best hoise and my secken dublet, and
5s. to buy him shirttes. To James Wharton and John Reame, my prentices, 20s. each. To James Iles, my
wife's son, 5s. To every one of my hired servants, 12d. To Henry Hodgson, my servant, 12d. To my
mother Casson, 20s. To the highways, 3s. 4d. To the mayntennynge of the Charter of Leeds, 3s. 4d.
To Rauf Iles, my best browne blewe coote, which was my wedding coote. Brother Thomas R., best dublet.
Sister Agnes Netherwood, best hatt lined with velvit; and my other hatt to sister Jennet Watson. My
worsted hat, which I wear on the worke days, to my servant Jennet Pearson. To William Wilson, my wedding
cap. Jane Whitley, my wife's sister, 10s. and my wyf's workday frock. To awnte Moyses, one worsted
apron that my sister Sykes gave unto my wyff. Unto my keper, 12d. Wife's shappen apparel of wollen
and lynnen unbequeathed, among my wife's doughters and my daughters, ie., Edith Stead, Anne Isles, Elizabeth
Iles, Fraunces Iles, and Alice Reame. To my two sisters, Isabel Casson and Grace Casson, 20s. each.
To my father, John Casson, my greye cloike. If children die before age of 21 or marriage, remainder
of portions to go brother Thomas Reame's children, and the children of my two sisters. Brother Thomas
to be "gargen" to the children of Richard Sykes, my late brother-in-lawe. Son and daughter Alexander
and Anne Reame, executors. Brother Thomas and brother-in-law Nicholas Netherwood, tutors and "gargens"
to my two children. Witnesses : John Smithe, Christopher Pollard, Thomas Ellis, Thomas Marshall, Thomas
Wharton, and Robert Moyses, with others.
