proved 24 April 1577. Tenements in Marshe Lane, with buildings, &c., in the tenures of Christopher
Smith, Thomas Tailer, and Christopher Whitley, to the uses of Anne Pawson, my wife, and
Christopher P., my son, for life. If son Christopher die before he be 21, without issue, then, after
the death of my wife, the tenement occupied by Christopher Smith to my brother Anthony P., the
tenements in occupation of Thomas Tailer and Christopher Whitley to my brother Richard P. All
those my three Roydes of landes, with appurtenances, in feilds of Leeds Woodhouse, whereof my
wife Anne must have her thirds and dowries for life; and if son Christopher die before 21, or without
issue, the reversion of them to my brother Oliver P. To my said wife, all my lease which I have
of the graunt of the late Earle of Cumberland, deceased, with all my tithe corn in the barn. Rest
of my goods to be divided into three parts: one to the performance of this will, one to wife, and the
other to son Christopher. Mother, Elizabeth P., 5£.; sister Annie P., 5£. Dorothie Teall, 20s.
Each of my sister Grace children, 2s. Brother Christopher P., 2s. To the reparing of the highways
in the Marsh Lane, betwixt my house and Timble Bridge End, 3s. 4d. Brother William's children,
6d. each. Robert Killingbecke, 2s. Poor, 20 s. My three apprentices, 12d. each. Brother
Thomas P., my best daggar, my bagge, and my gyrdle. Apparel to be equally divided unto
Anthony P., Oliver P., and Richard P., my brethren. Sister Grace Teall, 20s. Sister Grace's
children, viz., Nicholas, John, Dorothy, Alice, Anne and Jennet Tealle, 40s. each. Rest among
my six brethren and two sisters: William, Christopher, Thomas, Anthony, Oliver, and Richard P.,
and Grace Teale and Anne Watson. Wife and son, executors. Witnesses: - George Cowper,
Lawrence Austroppe, Nicholas Watson, Lawrence Watson, George Morehouse, with others.
