proved 15 June 1578. To son William R., his heirs and assigns, in reversion, after decease or
marriage of my wife, my four fardiste closes towards the east, with all the houses &c., thereto,
called Gallowe Hills, in Leeds, in occupation of Thomas Reame, Thomas Sharpus, and myself,
according to the custom of the manor of Leeds. To son Richard R., in reversion, after her marriage
or decease, close called Great Gallowhill, in Gallowhill, between my said 4 closes on the east,
and the lands of the heirs of Geoffrey Wadeson on the west, now in my occupation. To the
child now in the wombe of my wife, in similar manner, my half acre of freehoulde land and one
Roide of coppiehoulde land, with appurtenances in Leeds Woodhouse, feild in one close, called
Nelgrasse, near unto Shipkar brigg, in occupation of Nicholas Watson. To Margerie, my wife,
towards the bringing up of my children, my messuage, burgage, or tenement in Leeds, wherein I
now dwell, and all my term of years therein, with all houses, &c., to the same belonging, situate
in Leeds, Leeds Harrowe, and Leeds Woodhouse feldes, now in the occupation of myself, Nicholas
Mylner, Agnes Shepherd, the executors of John Dyshforth, and Nicholas Watson. Wife and
children, executors. Richard Sympson and William Coldcole, supervisors. Witnesses: - Richard
Sympson, Raufe Fater, Thomas Walker, William Kendall, John Ferran, with others.
