ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY.

Data from the 'Collectio Rerum Ecclesiasticarum' from the year 1842.

The place: CHAPEL LE DALE.     Church dedication: PATRON SAINT NOT KNOWN.

Ewcross wapentake. -Population, vide Ingleton ; Church-room, 60; Net value, £65.

Patron, the Rector of Bentham.

There is no glebe house.

The Register Books commence in 1775 ; see Ingleton for previous registers.

Charities:
Poor's fund. Interest of £8. 10s.; 2s. 6d. is paid to the schoolmaster, residue to the poor.

Jennet Rose's charity, by will, 5th Oct. 1710. Rent of 3A. la. of land, for educating six children. -Vide 13th Report, page 646.
