The Alms Houses Chapel, Ripon
| The Alms Houses Chapel is now a private residence, Chapel House. Its history is linked with the 12th century St Mary Magdalen Chapel across the road; during the mid 19th Century, the St Mary Magdalen Chapel fell into great disrepair and a new St Mary Magdalen Chapel (now Chapel House) was commissioned and built in 1868. It remained as the parish chapel until c.1988-1990, when the original St Mary Magdalen Chapel was restored by the church authorities. Now with 2 historic chapels, the church elected to restore worship to the original building, given its greater history, and the 1868 building fell into disuse, until it was sold to a property developer in c. 2002.
