SHEFFIELD, PENISTONE ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH

Penistone Road Mission Church also claims a place in this history. It had its beginning in 1906, in a room adjoining some large manufacturing works in Penistone Road. The district is an extremely needy one in every sense. The work is now under the care of "the District", and the Lay Preachers' Association. It is accompanied by most hopeful signs of success. The preaching services are well attended, and 160 scholars are enrolled in the school. It is hoped that the Mission may secure a building of its own.
