In 1868, the parish of Tullowmagimma contained the following places:

"TULLOWMAGIMMA, a parish in the baronies of Carlow and Forth, county Carlow, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles S.S.E. of Carlow, its post town. The surface consists of a well-tilled soil, and is crossed by the road from Leighlinbridge to Tullow. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Leighlin, value with Staplestown, £314, in the patronage of the bishop. There are a Roman Catholic chapel and a public school. The principal residences are Castletown, Racroge, and Kilballyhue.
