CLONSHAMBOE, a parish, in the barony of IKEATHY and OUGHTERANY, county of KILDARE, and province of LEINSTER, 3½ miles (S. S. W.) from Kilcock, on the road to Naas; containing 297 inhabitants.

It is a vicarage, in the diocese of Kildare, and is part of the union of Clane; the rectory is impropriate in the representatives of Lord Falconberg: the tithes amount to £98.12. 6½., of which £30. 8. 9½. is payable to the impropriator, and the remainder to the vicar. In the R. C. divisions it forms part of the union or district of Kilcock.
