DUNBELL
"Dunbell",
a parish, in the barony of Gowran, county of
Kilkenny, and province of Leinster, 4 miles (S. E.) from Kilkenny, on the
road to Gowran; containing 567 inhabitants This parish comprises 4299
statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory and vicarage,
in the diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Burnchurch. In the
R. C. divisions it is the part of the union or district of Gowran.
