"Rathlogan", a parish, in the barony of Galmoy, county of Kilkenny, and province of Leinster, not far from Johnstown, and originally a part of Glashare civil parish. It forms part of the union of Rathdowney. There is an ancient church in ruins and a churchyard; also two wells called Tobar Ullachain, St. Elakan's well, and Tobar na súl, well of the eyes. In the R. C. divisions the parish forms part of the union or district of Johnstown, formerly a part of Erke R.C. parish.
