"St. Maul's", a parish, within the liberties of the city of Kilkenny, county of Kilkenny, and province of Leinster; containing 1335 inhabitants, and comprising 309 statute acres. It is a rectory and vicarage, in the diocese of Ossory, entirely appropriate to the see [of Ossory]. In the R. C. divisions it forms part of the union or district of St. Canice.
