"BALRATHBOYNE, (or Rathboyne), a parish in the baronies of Upper Kells and Lower Navan, in the county of Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles to the S. of Kells. The district is fertile and contains much limestone. The river Blackwater flows near the parish on the north-east. The living is a rectory united with that of Kells, in the diocese of Meath.
