KILBURNE, a parish, in the barony of MIDDLETHIRD, county of WATERFORD, and province of MUNSTER, 4 miles (S.by W.) from Waterford; containing 866 inhabitants.

It is a rectory, in the diocese of Waterford, and partly forms a portion of the corps of the deanery, and partly of the precentorship of the cathedral of Waterford: the tithes amount to £153. 10. 9., of which £121. 5. 9. is payable to the dean, and £32. 5. to the precentor. About 120 children are educated in a public school.
