- SCOTT - I have been searching
for some considerable time now for my 2xGreat-Grandfather George
Scott, who according to 1881 census says he was born in St Monance,
Fife. I have searched the Parish records and 1841 census for that
area to no avail. He came to the North East of England and married my
2x Gt-Gm Isabella Reah in Whitburn Co Durham along the coast north of
Sunderland in 1847, his father's name given as Robert. In 1851 he is
living with his mother Barbary (sic) and his wife and daughter. His
occupation is given as Mariner, and later as a Shipwright. My
grandmother Youern was George's grand-daughter Barbara, one of 8
children of his only son Robert, my great-grandfather. My father was
baptised with name Robert Scott Youern.

DONALDSON - Peter Donaldson,born May 26, 1770 in Aylth,
Perth Scotland married Elizabeth Donaldson at Muthill, Perthshire
Scotland born abt 1780. I am looking for ancestors of these
individuals. Also their son Duncan born 19 May 1798, Perth Scotland
who we think was married to a Jean Hepburn Aug. 10, 1821 in Ardoch

PRYDE - I have
a
very large database of Prydes worldwide, my own family
originated in the Ceres area of Fife, and I believe that most
Prydes originated around the St.Andrews area, but dispersed in
Covenanter times to Lothians, Angus and deeper into Fife. By
marriages the Prydes mixed with most of the other Fife surnames at
some time, although I haven't followed these up, keeping only to
Prydes. I have 'seen' and recorded most of the birth & marriage
death certs - 1855 to 1942. If I can be of help please let me know. -
