1997). A very well-illustrated guide to Scottish stained

and continuing up to the present day. The definitive book
on this subject.
- Scottish Medieval Churches: Richard Fawcett (July
2002). A superb book for lovers of early Scottish churches
everywhere. Detailed and comprehensive, Richard Fawcett's
book gives a fascinating insigh into the building and
detailing of these wonderful buildings: or their remains.
- The Archaeology of Churches: Warwick Rodwell (August 1,
2005). This unrivalled textbook explores the complex
history of cathedrals and churches, showing how this can be
revealed through the skills of the archaeologist. After 25
years this is still the standard textbook on church
archaeology. Nothing comparable has ever been published.
- The Cathedrals of Scotland: Peter Galloway (August
2001). An historical, social, ecclesiastical and highly
descriptive study of Scotland's cathedrals, Church of
Scotland, Roman Catholic, Scottish Episcopal, Greek
Orthodox and derelict, reflecting Scotland's unique
