At time of writing (June 2001), there is no crematorium based in North Lanarkshire although discussions are under way to establish one, probably adjacent to Holytown Cemetery. Discussions are also under way to establish a crematorium in South Lanarkshire, probably in the Hamilton area.
In the future either of the above may be used by folk from North Lanarkshire. For the time being most North Lanarkshire cremations take place at Daldowie Crematorium.

It is also worth noting that Clydebank Crematorium in West Dumbartonshire is also used by Glasgow folk.
