Specific enquiries relating to the Midlothian area (pre 1950) can be dealt with. This does not include the central Edinburgh Parishes. Enquiries are taken in turn, so please expect a delay. Please provide brief details if you are unable to come in in person. Staffing is limited and Local Studies is extremely busy. If you are able to come in person you will find OPRs, Censuses 1841-1901, Valuation rolls, MIs and many other useful sources of information.
