Rafford Parish Church was built in the 1820s to replace a smaller 18th century church located a short distance to the south (see Rafford Old Parish Church). It is Gothic Revival in style and was built in roughly-coursed granite rubble with fine ashlar dressings and surrounds. The church building consists of a large nave, south tower and a hall and vestry extension.
The church is located on rising ground on the south-western slope of Knock Hill, which rises above the small community of Rafford. The grounds of the church are bordered by mature trees on three sides and there is a burial ground to the north enclosing site of former church. Burial enclosures and graves with memorials from 17th, 18th and early 19th century. The burial ground is Grade B listed.
