"Mae y lle yma wedi bod o'r dechreuad mewn cysylltiad a Phentraeth, ac o dan yr un weinidogaeth. Nid yw yn nepell oddiwrth y lle y pregethwyd y bregeth gyntaf gan yr Ymneillduwyr yn y wlad hon, ac yr oedd dau neu dri o'r ardal hon yn aelodau yn Rhosymeirch, mor foreu, beth bynag, a dyddiau gweinidogaeth Mr. Benjamin Jones, ac arferai ef ddyfod yma yn achlysurol i bregethu iddynt, ond ni wnaed un cynyg ar sefydlu achos yma hyd y flwyddyn 1840. Adeiladwyd yma gapel y flwyddyn ganlynol. Nid yw ond bychan iawn, 90p. oedd holl draul ei adeiladiad, ond bu ei ddyled yn faich trwm yn hir yn llethu ar ysgwyddau gweiniaid. Mr. H. Rees oedd y gweinidog yma pan y codwyd y capel, ond yn mhen blynyddau wedi ei ymadawiad ef y talwyd y ddyled. Nid yw yr achos yma ond bychan, ac nid oes dim neillduol perthynol iddo i'w gofnodi.

Ni chodwyd yma ond un pregethwr, sef Richard W. Roberts, sydd yn awr yn weinidog yn Ystradgynlais."

Translation by Maureen Saycell (Jan 2008)

"This place has been associated with Pentraeth, and under the same ministry. It is not far from the place that the first sermon ever given by the nonconformists in this country, and two or three from this area were members at Rhosmeirch, as early, most likely, as the ministry of Mr Benjamin Jones, and he used to come here occasionally to preach to them, but no effort was made here to establish the cause until 1840. A chapel was built here the following year. It was very small, the total cost was 90, but the debt was a heavy one which weighed upon the officials shoulders for a long time. Mr H. Rees was the minister when the chapel was built, but it was many years after the end of his ministry that the debt was finally paid. This is a very small cause and there is nothing outstanding to be noted.

Only one was raised to become a preacher:-
