"LLANDYVRÎOG (LLAN-DYVRÎOG), a parish in the hundred of TROEDYRAUR, county of CARDIGAN, SOUTH WALES, 1 1/2mile (E.) from Newcastle- Emlyn containing 854 inhabitants. This parish, which derives its name from the dedication of its church to St. Tyvriog, an eminent British saint who lived towards the close of the sixth century, is pleasantly situated on the northern bank of the river Teivy, and on the turnpike road from Newcastle-Emlyn to Lampeter....." Brecon: 1907. This 1907 print has now been reprinted. The brief section relating to this parish is on pages 187/8; the four last incumbents of the Church were Rev Mr David Richards, Rev Mr Griffiths, Rev Mr Theo Howels and Rev Mr John Williams. There is a section on the Cilgwyn estate, and also on Atpar (that part of Newcastle Emlyn which is in Cardiganshire).
