The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Llanfihangel Cilfargen contained the following places:

"LLANFIHANGEL-CILFARGEN, a parish in the hundred of Cathinog, county Carmarthen, 4 miles N.W. of Llandilo Fawr, its post town and railway station, and 10 N.E. of Carmarthen. The river Dulas, a tributary of the Towey, flows through the parish. There is no village, only a few scattered houses. The tithes were commuted in 1839. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St. David's, value £113. The church is dedicated to St. Michael."
