Colwyn, St. Catherine

Ordnance Survey reference SH 866783.

"The church of St. Catherine's was built in 1837 as a Chapel of Ease to Llandrillo, and so continued until gazetted, with a district of its own, in 1844. ..... The church of St. Catherine's, which has only accommodation for 250 people, will be retained for the Welsh congregation, for whom it was originally built."

Colwyn, St John

"The foundation stone of the new church of St. John, Old Colwyn, was formally laid by Mrs Frost, the generous lady of Minydon, on Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a large and representative assembly."

The church was consecrated on 13 August 1903.
