Church History

  • The entry for this church on the National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW) website (Coflein).
  • Built in 1922 Trinity Presbyterian [English] was the first church in the new model village of Llay.
There was a sizeable number of Welsh speakers in this congregation so they built a Welsh Presbyterian [or Calvinistic Methodist] Church in 1925 in Nant y Gaer Road.
Trinity's congregation dwindled and after remaining empty it was bought by The Church in Wales and used as a meeting room,  and subsequently demolished
