Details of extant records on Archives Network Wales for the following;

  • "The Independent cause at Melincourt, Resolven, Glamorgan, began in the 18th century when meetings were held in local houses. A chapel was completed at Melincourt in 1799. Due to the growth in membership this was replaced by a new chapel, named Jerusalem, built in 1875 and extended in 1902-1903"
