Fonmon Castle family;
In the graveyard of All Saints church, Braunston, Northamptonshire, is an elaborate grave-stone outside the east end of the church, 'In memory of Rear Admiral Oliver John Jones RN, second son of Major General Oliver Thomas Jones and grandson of Robert Jones of Fonmon Castle, Glamorgan'. Died at Westfield House, Braunston 11th January 1878 aged 64. Stone erected by his wife, Anna Maria Louisa
Searching the web finds a reference to a Captain Oliver John Jones RN (half-pay captain) active land-based brigade quelling Indian mutiny 1857 (contributed by Alan Dent, May 2003)
