"LLANGSTONE, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Caldicott, county Monmouth, 4 miles N.E. of Newport, its post town. It includes the hamlet of Llanbeder. It is a small agricultural parish. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff, value 153."

"LLANBEDER, a chapelry in the parish of Llangstone, county Monmouth, 5 miles N.E. of Newport, its post town, and 12 from Chepstow. Here are ruins of an old church called St. Peter's."
