Sections which appear to be missing from the 1861 census for Pembrokeshire -  based on the Archive CD Books CD

The total population of Pembrokeshire at the 1861 census was 87,690.
Whether this includes or excludes the people  listed below isn't clear, but either way the missing people (about 1,790) amount to about 2% of the total.
However this does not include any information from the "Cardiganshire" part of Pembrokeshire.

 

Begelly - Enumeration District 1 (part of RG9/4151) - ascertained from the "Abstract of Totals"

Population in 1851 was 331 so the number missing can be estimated at about 300.

 

The parish of Hasguard (apparently was part of RG9/4161) is MISSING.

According to Cenquest the population in 1871 was 125, so let's assume a total of 120 in 1861

MISSING - one sheet of two pages from one book. Total of 28 people (5 schedules).

 

Llanfallteg West (and East in CMN).

Note on second page of folio 96 in RG9/4146 notes "Llanfallteg Carms and Pems on loose leaves". These leaves appear to be MISSING.

The population of Llanfallteg West in 1881 was 61, so let's assume a total of 60 in 1861.

 

The 1861 census for Newport PEM (RG9/4173) [included in Cardiganshire census] is PARTLY MISSING.

 

Pembroke St Michaels - Enumeration District number uncertain as the front pages are all missing including the "Abstract of Totals"
