The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Llanychlwydog contained the following places:

"LLANYCHLWYDOG, a parish in the hundred of Kemess, county Pembroke, 3 miles S.E. of Fishguard, its post town, and 3 S.W. of Newport. It is situated on the banks of the river Gwayne, and is well cultivated. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St. David's, value with the curacy of Llanllawer annexed, £156. The church is dedicated to St. David. Two stones mark the grave of Prince Clydawe, who was murdered, and lies buried here."
