In 1868, the parish of St Ishmaels contained the following places:
"ST. ISHMAEL'S, a parish in the hundred of Roose, county Pembroke, 5 miles W. of Milford. The village, which is small, is situated on the haven near Sandy Haven. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of St. David's, value £90.
