In 1868, the parish of Walton West contained the following places:
"WALTON WEST, a parish in the hundred of Roose, county Pembroke, 6 miles S.W. of Haverfordwest, and 4 from Milford. The village is situated near St. Bride's Bay. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of St. David's, value £150."
"BROADHAVEN, a village in the parish of Walton West, hundred of Roose, in the county of Pembroke, South Wales, 6 miles to the S.W. of Haverfordwest. It is situated in a pleasant spot, on the coast of St. Bride's Bay, and is frequented as a bathing-place."
