This listing is basically that of Pembrokeshire's ancient parishes, augmented (using "See in" items) by a number of additional place names, for towns and early chapelries.
Many Welsh place names exist in several variants. The main name used here is typically that found in Cofresti Plwyf Cymru: Parish Registers of Wales.
In cases where there is a distinctly-different Welsh version of a place name this included as an additional "See" item -
but no attempt is made to list all minor variations, such as variants that differ only in respect of the inclusion, or omission, of hyphens.
An alternative listing of parishes is also available, grouped according to the Hundreds in which they are situated, also has a link to a parish based sketch map of each hundred.
Here is a much more extensive place name listing, which should be used if the place sought cannot be found on this page
Here is a database with grid co-ordinates of 10,000 place names from the 1891/1901 censuses for certain parishes in PEM,CMN & GLA(Gower)
