"Mr. Richard Lewis, pan yr oedd yn bregethwr cynorthwyol yn y Caebach, a ddechreuodd yr achos yn y lle hwn. Bu yn teithio yma am flynyddau i bregethu, a thua y flwyddyn 1817, cafodd yma ddigon o broffeswyr crefydd i'w ffurfio yn eglwys. Wedi ei ffurfio bu yr eglwys fechan yn ymddibynu ar weinidogion y sir i weinyddu yr ordinhad iddi dros amryw flynyddau, gan ei bod yn rhy wan i gynal gweinidog ei hun. Y cyntaf a urddwyd yma oedd Mr. Richard Lloyd. Cymerodd ei urddiad le oddeutu y flwyddyn 1828. Bu ef yn gwasanaethu yr achos hwn yn ffyddlon am tua deuddeng mlynedd. Wedi iddo ddechreu yr achosion yn Hermon a Painscastle, rhoddodd Llanbadarn ac Aberedw i fyny a chyfyngodd ei lafur, am weddill ei oes, i'r ddau achos newydd. Y gweinidog nesaf yma oedd Mr. Evan Evans. Bu ef yma am ddeg neu ddeuddeng mlynedd, ac wedi ei ymadawiad ef, urddwyd Mr. D. Williams, yn awr o Fangor, yma, a bu yma nes y symudodd yno. Ar ei ol ef urddwyd Mr. Richard W. Lloyd yma yn 1854. Tua phedair blynedd y bu ef yma, yna symudodd sir Amwythig, le y mae yn bresenol. Ar ymadawiad Mr. Lloyd, daeth Mr. Evan Evans, yr hen weinidog yn ol, a bu yma drachefn am rai blynyddau. Dilynwyd ef gan Mr. Evan Harries, yr hwn a fu yma am ychydig gyda blwyddyn. Yn nechreu y flwyddyn hon daeth Mr. J. T. Pattison, yr hwn a ddychwelodd yn ddiweddar o Canada, yma ar brawf i weled a hoffa y lle, ac os gwel y bydd argoel iddo wneyd daioni yma, bwriada aros gan fod ganddo fodd i fyw heb ymddibynu ar gyfraniadau y bobl. Ni bu fawr lewyrch ar yr achos hwn oddiar ymadawiad Mr. Lloyd, y gweinidog cyntaf. Yr oedd yma olwg obeithiol ar bethau yn ei amser ef. "

"Mr Richard Lewis, while he was a supporting preacher in Caebach, first started the cause in this place. He travelled here to preach for many years, and about 1817, he had enough people ready to commit to religion to establish a church. Once formed the little church was dependent on the ministers within the county to celebrate the sacrament, as they were too small to support a minister. The first one to be ordained here was Mr Richard Lloyd. His ordination took place somewhere around 1828. He served this cause faithfully for about twelve years. After he started the causes in Hermon and Painscastle, he gave up Llanbadarn and Aberedw and concentrated his efforts on the new causes for the rest of his life. The next minister here was Mr Evan Evans. He was here for ten or twelve years, and after his departure Mr D. Williams, now of Bangor, was ordained here and remained until he moved to Bangor. After him Mr Richard W. Lloyd was ordained here in 1854. He was here for about four years, then moved to Shropshire, where he is at present. Following Mr Lloyd's departure Mr Evan Evans, who had been here previously, returned and stayed for some years. He was succeeded by Mr Evan Harries, he was here for just over a year. At the beginning of this year Mr J. T. Pattison, who has recently returned from Canada, came here on trial to see if he liked the place, and if he feels that he can do some good, then he intends to stay as he has the means to support himself without depending on the contributions of the congregation. The cause here has not really flourished since the first minister Mr Lloyd left. There was a look of hope in his time."
