CHARLESWORTH, Derbyshire

"CHARLESWORTH is a populous hamlet, about three miles south-west from Glossop, in that parish; it contains a place of worship for independent Calvinists, and a population (by the last returns) of 1,206 inhabitants, who are chiefly supported by the manufacturing interest."

Church Records

• A CD containing a transcription of The Parish Registers of St John the Evangelist's Church (CM 1846-1910) is available for purchase from 'Ancestral Archives'. The CD also includes Dinting Holy Trinity (CM 1876-1910) on the same disk but please note there are no burials. Added 31 May 2007.
