"BUSHBY is a hamlet and township adjoining Thrunby, with 56 peiple in 1881. H. L. Powys-Keck esq. is lord of the manor. The principal lanowners are H. L. Powys-Keck and E. B. Hartopp esqrs."

Bushby is a small village, a township and was a small parish adjacent to Thurnby and 4 miles east of Leicester city, of which it is now absorbed as a suburb. The parish covered about 679 acres.
